Steve Winwood is a very multi-talented musician. He mastered the drums and guitar by the age of eight years old. His first taste of success was with the R&B band "The Spencer Davis Group". After the 60's, Winwood formed the short-lived group Traffic. For almost a decade Winwood became an in-house back up keyboardist for some of the biggest names in music: Jimi Hendrix, George Harrison, Eric Clapton, and Joe Cocker. During Winwood's long awaited solo career he put out several albums but his most famous was, "Back In The High Life"' in 1986. Winwood continues to put forth soulful albums, he recently sang the theme song, "Reach for the Light", for the animated movie Balto.
