Influenced by Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin, Emmett founded the band Triumph in 1975 with drummer/vocalist Gil Moore and keyboardist/bassist Mike Levine. They enjoyed gold and platinum sales, which eventually earned them a spot in the Canadian Rock Hall of Fame. Albums include "Rock & Roll Machine ", "Just a Game", "Progressions of Power", "Allied Forces ", "Never Surrender " and "Surveillance". The 1984 mockumentary, "This Is Spinal Tap" was partially informed by Triumph. Emmett has since moonlighted as a magazine columnist, cartoonist, and record producer. Currently he operates Open House Records and is intensely involved with the Internet.
