Former Geordie lead singer Brian Johnson was AC/DC's saviour after Bon Scott's untimely death in 1980. Taking over as lead vocalist on the "Back in Black" album, Johnson contributed greatly to the band's continuing success. The album reached number one in both Australia and the UK, and number four in the US. Johnson remains the front man for the band to this day as they continue to release recordings and make appearances.
